AUSTRALIAN CORPORATE PARTNERS SCHEME

We are pleased to announce that the Royal Australian Air Force  and QANTAS have accepted  invitations to participate in the Australian Corporate Partners Scheme.  They are the first organizations in Australia to do so. We confidently expect others to follow.

In a letter from the Chief of Air Force Air Marshal Angus Houston, himself a Fellow of the Society. he noted-' that the Society provides an excellent forum in which members may meet like-minded aerospace professionals to discuss a range of common issues'.

We look forward to welcoming many more RAAF and Qantas personnel to our membership and particularly to their attendance at Branch meetings.

In addition it has been confirmed that Aerospace Australia Ltd has also joined the scheme.

An Associated Company Scheme was established by The Royal Aeronautical Society in 1995 to provide for the involvement of companies, as well as individual members with the Society. Since that time the title of the program has been changed to more accurately define the roles and relationships  between the companies and the Society. A similar program has now been established under the auspices of the Australian Division.

Benefits for companies seeking membership of the scheme include:

  • Involvement in conferences and seminars.
  • Easier membership options (including no entry fee) for employees to become members of the RAeS and have their experience and qualifications recognised by a world wide professional body.
  • Opportunity to nominate candidates to the Awards and Medals selection committees.
  • Free use of the Society's fine Library in London.
  • In Australia access to the National Aerospace Resource Centre.
  • Opportunity to contribute towards Society Position Papers.
  • Use of London facilities at preferential rates.
  • Publicity in the Society magazines, Aerospace International and Aerospace Professional.
  • Acknowledgment of the Company in promotions and events organised by the Society and the Division.
  • Social functions
