Avalon Airshow

Introduction

The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS), acting on behalf of Aerospace Australia Ltd, is pleased to offer a special invitation to "Aerospace Student Professionals" to attend the 2009 Avalon AirShow.

An "Aerospace Student Professional" is defined as any Undergraduate and Postgraduate University, or TAFE student undertaking tertiary courses throughout Australia in aerospace engineering, aviation sciences or technology, or technical trades, who shows a keen interest in pursuing a career in the Aerospace, Aviation and Defence industries.

The Deal

Free entry is offered for one-day only to any of the 3 Trade Days of Tuesday 10 March, Wednesday 11 March, or Thursday 12 March 2009.

This offer builds on a similar program provided at the last 2007 Avalon AirShow.  Based on feedback, two key changes will be applied:

  • more tickets being made available (notionally 250) with a greater emphasis on balancing numbers (ie more on the first two trade days to avoid a thrid trade day rush), and
  • a stricter enforcement of a Dress Standard.
Students who take up this invitation will be formally accredited as an "Aerospace Student Professional" which includes issue of a distinctive numbered entry badge to assist Exhibitors to identify them from other Trade Visitors.  Please note the Dress code (see T&C’s below).

This offer is being managed by the Melbourne Branch of the RAeS, and is subject to the Terms and Conditions (T&C’s) below.

Closing date for applications is Monday 2 March 2009.
